Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between Cleartex Technologies, [Registered office address] ("we") and the business that signs up for Cleartex ("you"). By creating an account you accept them on behalf of that business, and confirm you are authorised to.
1. The service
Cleartex is online software for GST invoicing, accounts, purchases, stock, attendance, payroll and related records. It helps you prepare documents and reports; it is not tax, legal or accounting advice. You remain responsible for the correctness of what you file with the GST authorities and for your own compliance.
2. Your account
- Give accurate details, including your GSTIN, and keep them current.
- Keep passwords confidential; turn on two-step sign-in for owner accounts. You are responsible for activity under your users' logins.
- Tell us promptly at phapalevaishnavi725@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Free trial and plans
- New accounts get a 30-day free trial. No payment details are needed for it.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance, plus GST. You receive a GST tax invoice for each payment.
- Plans renew by payment each period. We send reminders before a trial or paid period ends.
- If a payment is missed, you keep full access for a 7-day grace period; after that the account becomes read-only.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the change applies from your next billing period.
4. Read-only mode — your data is never held hostage
When a trial or plan ends, nothing is deleted. You can still sign in, view and export all of your data; you just can't create or change records until you choose a plan.
5. Your data
- The data you put into Cleartex belongs to you. We process it only to provide the service, as our Privacy Policy describes.
- You can export all of it at any time, including after your plan ends.
- You confirm you have the right to store the personal data you enter about your customers, vendors and employees, including any consents the law requires (for example for employee location tracking).
- Our staff will only access your account with your explicit, time-limited support permission, or where the law requires.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, including issuing fake or fraudulent invoices;
- try to access another business's data, probe or overload our systems, or get around limits and security;
- resell or copy the service without our written permission;
- send spam or unlawful messages through the email or WhatsApp features.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, telling you why where we lawfully can. Suspension doesn't delete data.
7. Connected services
If you connect your own Razorpay, WhatsApp Business or email accounts, your use of them is governed by those providers' terms. We store your credentials encrypted and use them only for the actions you take in Cleartex.
8. Availability
We work to keep Cleartex available and to back up data nightly, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. We'll give notice of planned maintenance where we can.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time from Settings → Data & Account. Your data is permanently deleted 30 days after closure, except records we must keep by law; export first, since you must keep GST records for 72 months. We may end these terms for a serious breach, after notice where reasonable.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [City] have exclusive jurisdiction.
